Fatima has fallen down again
Face down in the dust on the tracks
Of the Mogadishu plains
There where the crops are not growing
There where the rain’s not coming
She don’t know where this is gonna end

Fatima is bravely struggling on
Left two children behind to try
To save the smallest one
What a choice to have to make
It haunts her each step she takes
But she had to take the chance
For the baby’s sake

Though she’s starving, worn and weak
